One of British Columbia’s defining features is its towering mountain ranges. With ten mountain ranges spanning the province, adventure and beauty are abundant. Forest-covered mountains drop into the ocean. Snow-capped mountains offer some of the world’s best skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer. At the foot of two towering peaks (Whistler and Blackcomb Mountain) is the village of Whistler. Whistler is a special place. The locals are friendly and welcoming and are happy to share all their village has to offer.
British Columbia is home to some pretty epic waterfalls, most notably Helmcken Falls which is the 4th largest waterfall in Canada. I love waterfalls. I made it my mission to chase as many waterfalls as I could during my trip in 2017. The sheer volume and force of nature. Beholden to their power. The deafening roar of pounding water. The continual motion is mentally relaxing. The free fall gives a sense of freedom and letting go. Refreshing.
The Okanagan Valley is the second largest wine region in Canada with approximately 4,000 hectares of vineyards. A wine connoisseur’s paradise.
For those who are wild at heart, Mother Nature has created a beautiful year-round playground for you. Go explore.
